Painting 1/35 Scale Figures with Acrylic Colours

In this new DVD the master figure painter Olivér Kovács ( his blog is here) takes us through how he paints up an excellent Alpine Miniatures figure with the ever more popular acrylic paints to make a lifelike miniature in 1/35.

This small scale – and the seeming ease at which some of the better modellers can achieve these results sometimes leave the rest of us in the dark about how to achive these perfect figures. This video is aimed at the improving of skills of the regular modeller and how to achieve better results with their figure painting, and to try to make them come to life.

The action is filmed in close up and in P.O.V. so you can see the model being painted in first person detail to better see the process in the best possible seat in the house! If you like this DVD you should check out MXPression’s first video tutoral we have previewed here.

Below are the vital statistics for the DVD – we will review it as soon as it arrives from Germany.

Description:

- PAL DVD
- Customers from NTSC countries such as USA, Mexico or Japan can use a PC equipped with
a DVD player and software to watch this DVD.
- Format 16:9
- Running Time 140 min

Olivér Kovács has spent many years painting historical figures, and through those years, his interest in figures from the WWII has grown. He finds painting the various camouflage patterns of that time especially interesting.
Between painting the boxart figures for “Masterclass” and “The Bodi”, he has taken the time to do this DVD with us. Here he shows us, with the use of a wet palette and acrylic paints, the process of painting a 1/35 scale figurine from Alpine Miniatures.
From head to toe, including of course the camouflage pattern of the pants. We present this to you in close-up view!

Have fun watching and learning!
