We have already shown the Rolls Royce Merlin further down in this post – that has the Spitfires, Mustangs and Mosquitos covered, here’s hoping these engines are a hint of what is to bear them in the future?
First of all the DB 605 from the BF 109/ 110 family..

Just thought I’d show you some excellent picture of two absolute works of art from HPH - the Arado Ar-196 seaplane and the separate kit of the catapult form the Bismarck in 1/32 scale...
Photobucket
This kit suits the Excellent Arado seaplane and is made entirely of Resin – it can be ordered separately from the Seaplane from this link for around 1.400CZK (Czech Crowns – or about €55 Euro)

- Do you by any chance like big sea planes and King Cobras?  Well todayis is your lucky day – just released are details of the two latest kit to be produced from the Czech Republic through model makers HPH. The latest of these wonderful kits are both in 1/32 scale. They are the P-63 King Cobra and the massive PBY-5A Catalina flying boat.

The P-63 King Cobra is an all resin kit with many lovely features and nice clean lines. This kit has lovely treaded tyres and an incredibly detailed cockpit as well as a wafer thin canopy and movable control surfaces – this kit will be available from the HPH website soon – For now here are a few WIP pics on their site and we have some prototype pics below. When the final kit is ready we will tell you when – just keep on checking back for more details.

Second but by far no the least of these two (I don’t know which I like the best) is the new prototype of the PBY-5A CATALINA kit - and my goodness it’s going to be huuuuge!!! At over a meter of wingspan this kit looks to be quite a proposition to model makers with a while to spare or a job that requires no supervision.

The kit will be made from fibreglass body to keep the weight down. Again there is a build thread going on at our new favourite site – The Aircraft Model Gallery  where not just this but other AMAZING kits are there ready to be drooled over. On both of these kits we will keep you posted... For now enjoy the pics.

Kingscale from the Czech Republic have sent us snippets of the kit many believe to be the new 1/18th fibreglass and resin kit slated for KingScale's number one release -  really you couldn't pick much better than a Mustang - so if this kit indeed is to be the first release Kingscale look to be heading down the right path. Take a look at this lovely work of art in these pictures..
King Scale – a new model company from the Czech Republic devoted to releasing larger scale kits with museum quality detail – these 1/18scale models are set to be the showpiece of any modellers closet and the pinnacle of modelling kits at shows. KingScale have stated their intent with the release of news of some power plants to use in Mustang, spitfire or Mosquito kits. Also on show are Engines from the Me 262/He 162 & the Bf 109G - impressive!
From what is on their site KingScale seem set to enter that large(r) scale market and bring quality engines – details and sub-assemblies to model makers to complete their larger scale models to a truly impressive standard – Constructed from strong materials including Resin and fibreglass these engines show detail in this scale that cannot be replicated half as well in smaller kits. I think they have cornered a market here.
Check out their site (http://amg.cdc.cz/)  where they have their larger scale kits to see what could be the future if the stand alone kits sell well.  Let us hope for the rest of the aircraft kit range in this scale from KingScale in the future!!
