The superlatives continue to amble from my mouth when it
comes to describing Sang Eon Lee’s company “Life
Miniatures” range of busts – this new pilot and pooch bust sculpted by Seung-Yeop
Lee is not any different – here is the kit painted up in our preview in today’s
news.

1/10 scale resin bust consisting of 17 parts
This bust – cast in grey resin in seventeen parts is
sculpted by Seung-Yeop Lee and in this box art example painted by Sang-Eon Lee.
It was the genesis of an idea by Sang Eon L for the creation of this kit while
he was watching a TV series about Winston Churchill, he was very impressed by
his phrase "Never, in the field of human conflict, so much owed by so many
to so few"

Now Sang Eon has already sculpted an amazing Churchill – but
the source of Churchill’s inspiration now became his motivation.
Becoming more and more interested in the RAF fighter pilots
during Battle of Britain Sang Eon asked fellow sculptor Seung-Yeop Lee to
change the bust he was sculpting to the subject of an RAF pilot from the
original idea of a USAAF pilot from WWII
Sang eon has sent us several reference pictures that were used
in the sculpting of this bust – the parachute, goggles, flying helmet and mask.
There are many more we will show you when we review this bust.
A welcome intrusion is what looks like maybe a Cocker Spaniel on his shoulder – what a smart addition – everyone loves the squadron pooch!
This truly brings “Life” to this sculpt…
..as does the box art
– here painted up by Sang Eon Lee – what a great team these two make
This kit will be soon released by Life Miniatures – they are
at
this link along with the other great busts in this range.
