Mfg. Number: 08235

The Goshawk was an innovative warbird that helped bridge the gap in technology between the aircraft of WWI and those of WWII. Its chief distinguishing feature was a manually-operated retractable landing gear. This engineering marvel allowed the plane to fly 17 mph. faster than its predecessors. Unfortunately, this chief feature was also its chief flaw. During carrier trials, a multitude of main gear failures prompted the removal of the aircraft from service. This limited edition kit features decals for USN 5th Bomber Squadron Code: 5-B-1 USS Ranger, 1934.
Decal Option:

Stock Number: HSGS7367

The futuristic shape and novel engine placement of the J7W series made it highly unorthodox for the time. It was meant to be fast and manoeuvrable at high altitudes and to carry a murderous array of 30mm cannons in the nose. Fortunately for American bomber crews, the J7W and its descendant, the J7W2, never made it past the prototype phase. Today, the last of the two prototypes to roll off Watanabe's production lines rests in storage at a museum in the U.S. Limited Edition kit features Luftwaffe and IJN decals.

Airborne Early Warning and Control planes are constantly on the front lines of any conflict. Their massive rotating radar dishes allow these aircraft to detect enemy forces from far further away than fixed, ground-based radar. Although they are generally very fuel-efficient, they can't stay aloft forever. To extend their loiter time, many Air Forces use tanker aircraft in tandem with the AWACS units to provide aerial refueling. This limited edition kit combo contains new aerial refueling boom parts plus four decal sets for JASDF aircraft.

The East African Safari Rally is a gruelling 3,300 mile race through Kenya. Heat, rain, elevation changes and unpaved roads make this course the harshest rally race in the world. For the 1971 race, the winners drove a Datsun 240Z. These six-cylinder beauties had the combination of endurance and power needed to make the gruelling trek when 80% of their competitors suffered mechanical failures before the finish line. The type went on to win the 1973 rally as well. Kit features decals for #11, the 1971 race winner.
