The "Daggers" of the Republic of China Air Force
"Thunder Tigers" demonstration team were surplus F-86F Sabres,
repurposed from American stockpiles to defend Taiwanese airspace. The Sabre
design was already over a decade old when the Thunder Tigers received their
first aircraft, but the exceptionally advanced aircraft continued to be a
success in air shows and air combat. Additional equipment, like the AIM-9
Sidewinder, kept the Sabre active in the world's militaries until 1994.

Introduced in the early seventies, the Tornado GR4 was
designed to deliver the best balance of carrying capacity, range, and
performance using variable-geometry wings. The aircraft could fly long
distances to targets using wide-swept wings then roar in with wings in the
delta configuration. After the Gulf War, the British fleet of Tornado aircraft
was upgraded to the GR4 standard to improve the delivery of precision-guided
munitions. This new variant of the aircraft was used in the War in Iraq. This
limited edition kit features a special "Farewell" decal and parts for
Brimstone and Storm Shadow missiles.

Capable of zipping along at double the speed of sound, the
F-104G was an exceptional aircraft for its time and is still rightly renowned.
The aircraft featured an extremely pared-down design with extremely thin wings,
a tapering fuselage, and a massive engine. In Republic of China Air Force
service, four Starfighters were called upon to stop an incursion of 8 MiG-19s
into Quemoy airspace. The Starfighters downed two MiGs with no losses, proving
the combat effectiveness of the type. This limited edition kit features ROCAF
decals and English/Taiwanese directions.
