Masterbox's new kits of March/April 2017 - GI's that are deprived & the bravest of the braves...

Today we have something a little different from the usual soldiers in WWII era this March/ April. Two kits from the 19th century series of Native American warriors on one hand and some people trying to make a living and take some R n' R from Vietnam, the choice is there from the always innovative Masterbox.

Masterbox's new kits of March/April 2017:

Somewhere in Saigon, Vietnam War Series”
1/35 scale.
#35185
(2 US Soldiers + 1 X ARVN Soldier + 2 Vietnamese Women)
This kit is set in the period of the Vietnam War, and it consists of 5 figures in injection moulded plastic. The figures form the single story showing the domestic scene that could happen in any corner of Saigon that time. Two figures show the US military men who got a "short vacation" and went out to the town to have a little bit of "R &R". They are talking to an ARVN Soldier, who is busy with his own personal business which seems to be a "companion liaison" for his two lady friends to the Americans, who just want to spend time pleasantly with his two Vietnamese female friends. Maybe they have a common hobby? We don't know...
Despite the simplicity of the story the figures convey a very vivid and lively scene. The figures are animated and they interact with each other very well. These figures can be used in many different combinations to create a large or a smaller diorama scene, you can use one or both of the ladies and soldiers, or even just a soldier and a girl in a smaller but simple scene, even separating the women from the men would create a completely different meaning to the scene. In any way, it is great to have more Vietnamese people from this era available to modellers.

"Indian Wars Series, kit No. 1. Apache Attack"
1/35 scale.
#35188
Kit includes two figures of Apache Indian warriors
This kit is a continuation of the series of the figures in 1/35 scale dedicated to the period of the 19h century so-called “Indian Wars” in the old, wild west in America. The kit includes parts for the assembly of two Apache warriors - one figure is a mounted warrior on a horse and the other figure of is running in an attack. Both Apaches are armed with rifles and they are firing them on the run as they charge forward at the enemy or whatever they are attacking.
The poses of both of these figures are very dynamic, the figures interact with each other in the same scene, but also they can be used to create their own independent diorama or maybe used in a large-scale diorama with the use of the figures from 35192 kit "Tomahawk Attack" or with the use of the figures from #35191 kit that is planned for the release.
Both of these figures share the same frenzied look on their faces and dynamic motion in their body sculptures, Masterbox would like to emphasize also that both figures can be used one by one, at the same time each figure has so bright expression that it allows seeing the whole story even in the single figure.

"Indian Wars Series, kit No. 2. Tomahawk Charge"
1/35 scale.
#35192
Kit includes two figures of Native American warriors
This kit is a continuation of the series of the figures in 1/35 scale dedicated to the period of the 19h century so-called “Indian Wars” in the old, wild west in America. The kit includes parts for the assembly of two Apache warriors
Both Warriors are armed with bow and arrows, but more importantly, the mounted rider is seen wielding a tomahawk, while the running warrior is seen with a large "gunstock war club" in his hands, both men swinging them in a devastating attack.
Masterbox would like to note that the appearance of the figures is done rather universal and the modeller can add features to the figures that are inherent for the many native tribes of Indians of western plains – the Comanche, Sioux the Navajo etc. with the help of painting different colours and slight alterations.
Both of these figures share the same frenzied look on their faces and dynamic motion in their body sculptures, Masterbox would like to emphasize also that both figures can be used one by one, at the same time each figure has so bright expression that it allows seeing the whole story even in the single figure.
All of these three kits and everything else from Masterbox's releases will be with us in March/ April of 2017. Check out the Masterbox Website for more info on their models.
