Charlie Prichett's trip to the Shizuoka Hobby Show is today's story. Some of the most lovely models of figures, small vignettes and scenes with cars, aircraft & ships are on display...

Shizuoka Hobby Show 2017 - figure, auto, air & sea models

When you walk into the show site of the Shizuoka show there are two making parts to see, the industry side of things with model companies and then the competition and club halls. These are just as much, or maybe more interesting than the manufacturer's new items. The inspiration and modelling quality inside amazed us when we went,  and our good buddy Charlie PRitchett's pictures of the show are wrapping up with this, a mix of the civil land, sea and air models along with some lovely figure models.  Of course, the cosplay on the show gave us lots of human figures to gawk at...

Also lots of real cars, AFV's & vehicles on show outside the hall...

The vehicles outside mirrored some of the high quality and some fo the "interesting" modelling efforts inside - some great stuff here

Also, the lovely work on the figures in the halls mirrors some of the better model shows in the world. Although this is a small section of the Japanese modelling scene - there are some talented creations here...
