Highly detailed 1/700 scale assembly model kit of the destroyer Kasumi, an Asashio-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy during the Second World War. Commissioned on 28 June, 1939, the destroyer Kasumi met her fate in 1945 while escorting the super battleship Yamato on her fateful voyage in the participation of Operation Ten-Go, a deliberate suicide attack mission against American forces off Okinawa. Kasumi was sunk on 7 April, 1945 by aircraft of U.S. Navy Task Force 58. This Hasegawa 1/700 waterline assembly kit features new machine gun deck parts and decals for I.J.N. Special Attack Operation w/Battleship Yamato, April 1945, Okinawa. 61 parts. Perfect waterline kit for constructing dioramas depicting historic World War II naval battles fought near Okinawa.

The Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa (Peregrine Falcon) was the principal type of fighter aircraft used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Forces (IJAAF) during the Pacific conflict of 1941-1945. Together with fighter aircraft of the Navy, machines of this type participated in all the significant Japanese land actions of WW2 after 1941, and the Ki-43 (Allied code-name 'Oscar') was used extensively in New Guinea against Australian and United States forces.
