USS New York (LPD-21)
Model no: #05616
1/350th scale
USS New York (LPD-21) is a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock and the fifth ship of the United States Navy to be named after the state of New York. New York was christened on 1 March 2008, in a ceremony at Avondale Shipyard in New Orleans. Dotty England, the ship's sponsor, smashed the traditional champagne bottle on the ship's bow and christened the ship New York. Several dignitaries were in attendance, including Louisiana Congressman William J. Jefferson, Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon R. England, members of the New York City Police Department and the New York City Fire Department, and family members of 11 September victims. The champagne bottle did not break the first time it was struck against the hull of the ship, but the second attempt was successful. The ship was delivered to the Navy on 21 August 2009 at New Orleans. She set sail for Norfolk, Virginia, on 13 October 2009. On 2 November 2009, the ship passed the World Trade Center site for the first time and gave the site a 21-gun salute.

On 10 June 2012, the ship was deployed for the first time to the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf region. She deployed with Marines from 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division and returned in December 2012 along with the USS Iwo Jima and the USS Gunston Hall with Marines from the same unit attached to all three ships. In late 2013, the New York shifted homeport from Norfolk to Naval Station Mayport in Florida, as part of the Iwo Jima ARG move. In June 2014, the ship was used to transport Ahmed Abu Khattala, suspected mastermind of the 2012 Benghazi attack on the American diplomatic mission at Benghazi, back to the United States. Beijing Siheyuan(courtyard house)
Model no: #09001
1/100th scale
Beijing Siheyuan is a traditional building in China. “Si” means east, west, south and north, the four directions and “He” refers to that houses were distributed like a “口”, which embodies the traditional values and ethics of Chinese families. It enjoys a long history of more than 800 years.
The colour guide showing the placement of the decals which save you having to paint the ornate details if you so desire
Siheyuan is constructed in an enclosed style. That is, there are walls in four directions and the gate is closed in most cases except for going out. A regular courtyard in east-west Hutong generally faces south in Beijing, and its unique orientation is determined on the basis of Feng Shui Studies of China. The rules and regulations to make an Old Beijing Courtyard can be divided according to the size of it. There are three major sizes: large size, medium-size and small size. A medium Siheyuan is a more common one, which is composed of the gate, the outer yard, the inner courtyard and the backyard. The design and construction of Siheyuan are quite easy. The material is also very simple, instead of steel and concrete, it is made of tiles and wood. The overall tone is grey, giving people a simple and comfortable feeling. The structure with wood as its core is relatively light, which is a good resistance to earthquake.

RMS Titanic (With LED kit) 03719

1/200th scale
The RMS Titanic was built in Belfast, Northern Ireland, by the shipyard Messrs. Harland & Wolff. Construction of the Titanic began March 31st, 1909, with the laying of her keel, and would continue up until her maiden voyage. At the time of her maiden voyage, the Titanic was the world's largest ocean liner. She was built with many safety features and was claimed to be unsinkable. On the afternoon of April 10th, 1912, the Titanic departed Southampton, England, on her maiden voyage and headed to Cherbourg, France, followed by Queenstown, Ireland, before beginning her crossing of the North Atlantic Ocean towards her intended destination of New York, in the United States.
Colour scheme & decals supplied in this kit
On the clear moonless night of April 14th, at 11:40 p.m., the Titanic struck an iceberg and began sinking by the head. By 2:00 a.m. most of the Titanic's lifeboats were gone but many people were left on board the doomed ship. As the Titanic's final moments approached, her bow plunged below the icy waters of the Atlantic, her stern rose out of the water, and the unsinkable ship broke in two. In the early morning hours of April 15th, 1912, nearly 2 hours and 40 minutes after the allision with the iceberg, the Titanic disappeared below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean.

Her wreck remained lost until 1 September 1985 when her twisted and broken hull was discovered 12,480 feet down. The Titanic carried 2208 passengers and crew that fateful night and claimed the lives of 1496 people when she sank. The Titanic became one of the worst maritime disasters in history and has become one of the most famous shipwrecks in the oceans of the world.
