Having a fair few smart people working on their 35th scale Chieftain kits, it seemed only prudent for Takom to continue their 72nd scale range with some of the same marques as their bigger brothers. but the surprise for us was having two in one boxing! The Mark.10 & Mark 10 are the subjects of this boxing from Takom.

Six marking types included for these two types.
The Mk.10 (1985) were Mk.6 and Mk.7 fitted with IFCS & Stillbrew. The Stillbrew crew protection package was applied to the turret front and ring and became the new standard.
(1988-1990) were Mk.8s fitted with IFCS, Stillbrew, No 11 NBC system, and TOGS. The TOGS (Thermal Observation and Gunnery System) was manufactured by Barr and Stroud and was completed by the addition of a laser range-finder.

Takom is also releasing the Jagdtiger Sd.Kfz.186 "Porsche Production Type" in 35th scale. Having already given us the "Blitz" treatment with their Henschel version, we thought we would take a quick look at the differences in that version...

Jagdtiger Sd.Kfz.186 "Porsche Production Type"
One hundred and fifty Jagdtigers were initially ordered but only between 70 and 88 were produced at the Nibelungenwerk at St. Valentin, from July 1944 to May 1945. Eleven of them, serial numbers 305001 and 305003 to 305012, were produced with the Porsche suspension (using a paired external torsion bar suspension system with eight single road wheels) while all the rest used the Henschel suspension (with individual internal torsion bars with nine double road wheels).
The vehicle shown on the box art is Jagdtiger "314" Werk No 305012, one of the two (with #305011 that did not have zimmerit.applied to the hull.) Maybe Takom will release a second kit enabling the other nine vehicles in this series with Zimmerit included.
