Last year we looked at Canfora's book that focussed on truck modelling by Jan Rosecky. We liked the book very much - and now we are interested in this - the second volume from the same author featuring more of the same. We have some info on contents, images and physical stats on the book in our preview...
After the great success with The Complete Guide to Truck Modelling, we are very proud to finally be able to present the second volume. This book again goes into detail with all aspects of building and painting truck models. Volume 2 is extended to 176 pages.
Full-page close-ups and overall views are combined with step-by-step instructions to depict each model to its full potential.
Building truck kits is simply different from other subjects and it needs a special approach in terms of adding missing details and authenticity. Therefore, it is not just about painting and assembling but closely related to real vehicles, their design and function.
Paints, tools and airbrush techniques can be found in many books. This work, however, is dedicated purely to trucks and their scale replicas, providing all the information one needs.
The book provides all the information necessary to complete an authentically detailed truck model. It offers no less than 8 full building chapters, each focused on different topics and techniques. In addition, a generous reference gallery is provided so serve as guide and inspiration.
The book ends with a lavish gallery of models from a selection of first-class truck modellers, providing a wealth of inspiration.

Truck modelling - something that is not often featured on modelling websites, and even less so in books for modellers - so any book that features a speciality in the modelling world is worth a lot to people of that persuasion.
