Andrea Miniatures has released a set of two very familiar figures in a just as familiar scene to many of us, dare we not bring up the title, but these look a lot like "Vincent Vega" and "Mrs Mia Wallace" in the middle of a dance at "Jack Rabbit Slims". These figures come in two scales, we will look at them in our preview...
Andrea Miniatures bring out a new figure set of who? You never can tell...
We have the CAD drawings of these two figures and base and some information on them - and the real thing...
Come on daddy-oh - dont be a ⬜ (it's funny she draws a rectangle...)
The Subject: Pulp fiction and THAT dance scene...
Those of you at a certain age, and even those not at a certain age, may have the movie "Pulp Fiction" in your top ten, maybe your top five - or even as the best movie ever - surely when it was released in 1994 it caught a lot of attention and fans. To this day it is probably regarded by many as Quentin tarantino's best film.
The figures we are looking at were inspired by that dance scene by movie characters "Vincent Vega" and "Mrs Mia Wallace" because "She wants to dance" and he "better dance good". the two went on to create a scene that is one of the most viewed dance scenes in movie history, permanently etched into many people's memories.
"I do believe Marsellus Wallace, my husband, your boss, told you to take ME out and do WHATEVER I WANTED. Now I wanna dance, I wanna win. I want that trophy, so dance good".
So there you have it - the obvious inspiration for this scene, let's have a look at the figures that are now being sold by Andrea Miniatures...

I can hear the music now...
The scenic base of the dancefloor of Jack Rabbit Slims is included...
Both Mrs Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega are included both in white metal figures, the details are said to be very realistic, but we think from the CAD drawings there is a little bit of charactcature in them also...
The clothing on both of these figures is exactly right, with Mia wealing herslim pants and white blouse, Vincent with his black suit and leather tie..
There is an option to either buy these unassembled and unpainted, or made and painted by an Andrea Miniatures painter for a substantial amount more. It is up to the individual which approach you want to make if you like these figures...The floor markings and even the shoes are included...
We do think these figures will be appreciated by a lot of modellers out there, and they do have appeal in both scales. these two sets are available now from Andrea Miniatures from their website...
