La Haye Sainte Waterloo 1815 - Battle Set:
From 16th to 18th June the French troops and the Allied troops clashed on battlefields of Belgium. The battles of Ligny and Quatre Bras were only the proem of the most famous and well-known battle of the military history. A date and a place : 18th June 1815, Waterloo.

Wellington considered the farm of La Haie Sainte a strategic point of his defensive line. In the afternoon, Napoleon ordered to Marshal Ney to launch the assault to the farm in order to obtain a significant outpost. 

Of course figures, horses, weapons and scenery elements are included in plastic injection parts...
The farm was strenuously defended by Allied troops, that had fortified the buildings since the morning. The clash was fierce and the French troops, supported by artillery, were able to conquer La Haie Sainte only in the late afternoon. At 7 p.m. , thanks to the strategic value of the farm, the French Imperial Guard can start the assault but it is too late.

The S-3 Viking is the American Marines’ standard anti-submarine aircraft for shipborne used since the mid-70s. This big twin-jet plane is equipped with cutting-edge electronics to control sea missions and surveillance in close contact with ships and helicopters entrusted to protect aircraft-carriers.

Viking II has an ample range, thanks to in-flight refuelling to ensure long patrol periods. Additionally, Viking II can transport plenty of material in its large hold: torpedoes, depth charges, and an enormous quantity of buoys to receive underwater signals.

The T-34 tank is certainly one of the most famous armoured vehicles of the Second World War and it was the mainstay of the Soviet Army during the conflict. The most important innovations introduced by the T-34 design were the frontal sloped armour, able to guarantee a better protection against the direct hits, and the adoption of wide tracks able to provide a good mobility on all types of terrain including mud and snow. The first version of T-34, armed with a 76 mm. short barrel gun, obtained immediately an advantage against the most common German tanks of the era as the Panzer III and the Panzer IV.

In 1943 the T-34 was further improved with the adoption of a completely new turret, bigger and with a better armour, capable of housing the powerful 85 mm long barrel gun. Thanks to the new T-34/85 the Soviet Armoured Forces could effective face even the most modern and advanced German Tanks as the Tiger and the Panther.

The T-34 had a lengthy operational career, even stretching beyond the conclusion of WW2: in June 1950 over 120 T-34 / 85s were in service with the North Korean People's Army and then involved in the invasion of South Korea, predominantly in the early stages of the conflict.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is an icon of automotive manufacturing. This illustrious off-roader was developed by the Japanese company Toyota Motor Corporation in the 1950s. It is in fact the longest-lived product of its type produced by the "rising sun" company. It has continually evolved in terms of design, engine capacity and other technological features that have been progressively introduced into the series. Among the best known and most recognizable models is the "J-40" series, produced from the 1960s to the 1980s.

North American F-51D Mustang Korean War

The North American single-seat fighter P-51 Mustang is, without a doubt, one of the most famous aircraft of the history and it is considered the best fighter powered with traditional piston engine of the Second World War. The P-51 was developed very quickly and was built around the Packard V12 engine, the well-known and reliable Rolls-Royce Merlin engine manufactured under license in the United States, capable of delivering more than 1,600 HP.

Thanks to its engine, the Mustang was able to reach the speed of 700 Km/h. The P-51D, the most famous and successful version, was armed with six 0.5 M2 Browning machine guns installed in the wings. The Mustang was used in all war theaters, but it best known duty was to escort bombers in raids over Europe. At the end of the Second World War the "Mustang" continued to be deployed on various operational fronts. The F-51 (a new designation adopted in 1948 where F stood for fighter) also participated in the Korean War.

It continued to be a highly reliable aircraft and thanks to its extensive range, could successfully carry out operations that the most modern jet aircraft of the period were unable to perform. Armed with rockets and bombs, it was used for ground attack missions and could also offer a close support capability to ground troops.
