Preview: Revell's new kits for April/May revealed...

Revell's website has undergone a few changes, with their recent spate of gift sets and non-scale kits. We thought it important to show the latest kits from Germany to remind people that they do in fact, still make scale models! See their releases for April/ May, built up by Revell's own modellers in our preview...

69 Camaro SS

The 1969 Camaro carried over the previous year's drivetrain and major mechanical components, but all-new sheet metal, except the hood and trunk lid, gave the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with a heavy "V" cant and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panels also gave the car a much lower, wider, more aggressive look. This styling would serve for the 1969 model year only.
This classic Chevrolet two-door coupé or convertible was developed and introduced as a competitor to the Ford Mustang.

F/A-18F Super Hornet

The Boeing F/A-18E and F/A-18F Super Hornet are twin-engine, carrier-capable, multirole fighter aircraft variants based on the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. The F/A-18E single-seat and F/A-18F tandem-seat variants are larger and more advanced derivatives of the F/A-18C and D Hornet.
Model kit of the popular F/A-18 Super Hornet. Being an F model like the Tomcat, it features a two-seat cockpit to accommodate a weapon systems operator behind the pilot. This officer is in charge of the tactical operation of avionics, weapons and navigation.

Large-format and very challenging model kit of the Firebird, Pontiac’s pony car. The second generation of this beloved sports car came out in 1970 and stayed in production for 11 years. In 1979, the grill was redesigned yet again, and each pair of headlights was now separated by a plastic divider. 
The 1979 Firebird became the best-selling model in the whole series. The top model was the Trans Am. It became known as the most popular version, thanks, in part, to its appearances in various films.

Mercedes-Benz 1625 TLF 24/50

The tank fire engine (= TLF) based on the Mercedes-Benz 1625 (16 t, 250 hp) and with a 5000-litre extinguishing water tank was originally intended for firefighting on motorways.
