Meng has sent us photos of the test shot kit of their new QS-004 Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow Heavy Attack Helicopter in 1/35th scale. We already previewed this kit in some detail a few months ago. There has been a lot of work behind the scenes on this kit, and we can show you some of the fruits of their labours today in our preview. We look at the feature set of the kit with the plastic parts....
This kit features engraved panel lines and embossed rivets. The exterior features and details of the real aircraft are accurately reproduced.
The fuselage halves fit perfectly. The panel line and rivet details are sharp.
Structures like dorsal spine fairing and stub wings are broken down in a way for convenient assembly. This can reduce the work of filling and sanding, and keep the panel lines rivets from being influenced by sanding.
The avionics compartment interiors are accurately represented. The cables are perfectly reproduced, and it’s easy to paint them thanks to the separate tooling.
The cockpit interiors have excellent details.
The weapons have outstanding details and they are easy to assemble.
The wingtip pods have intricate design and they are easy to assemble.
The infra-red suppression engine exhaust ducts have excellent details.
The rotary wing structure is precisely reproduced.
Meng are doing our best to perfect this Apache Longbow Heavy Attack Helicopter model kit, be sure to see more upgrades of this kit in the near future.
