This is a comprehensive & up-close portrait of the Hog in its near 50 years of service. After six years of creating this series, this is their 30th book in the series.
DH-030 is a 180 page book on the Fairchild A-10 A/C Thunderbolt II. It is the result of several years of work and includes some 450 photos of every part of the Warthog.
There's also a lot of action in this book, showing the jet on the ground and in the air. The A-10 was designed to be operated from forward positions or improvised airstrips and photos of Warthogs flying from dirt roads are included. Fuselage, landing gear, gear bays, engines, wings, ailerons/speed brakes, vertical tails, cockpit, Avenger gun, everything is included in this book. There is also a 24 page chapter on the maintenance of the A-10, showing even the interior of the aircraft, such as avionics bays or the engines.Every part of the aircraft is included: fuselage, landing gear, wings, engines, cockpit and a huge chapter on the maintenance of the Warthog. Also included are a lot of spectacular action photos, both on the ground and in the air.
Some special liveries are shown, such as the awesome black A-10C of the Indiana Air National Guard.
