Although there aren't always a lot of new kits from Hasegawa, they do re-work their moulds with new decals & markings to bring out the real fans of those kits. See their releases for April in our preview...

Toyota Celica LB 1600GT

Hasegawa adds the Toyota Celica LB 1600GT with its distinctive fastback silhouette to their 1/24-scale model kit lineup! It made its debut in April 1973 as a three-door 2+2 couple; as the name "liftback" suggests, it had a large tailgate. When the rear seat backs are folded down, the cargo space could hold surfboards, camping equipment, and other bulky gear. 
This model kit features many newly developed parts, including the body and interior, based on research conducted on actual vehicles. The chassis will be a set of parts from the conventional Toyota Celica 1600GT; the front grille, bumper, wiper, pillar duct, mirror surface, etc. are plated parts. Eight-spoke Watanabe wheels are included too.


F-15J Eagle 304SQ Naha Special 2023

Hasegawa brings us a 1/72-scale model kit of the F-15J Eagle numbered 945 from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force 9th Wing 304th Squadron seen at the Naha Base Air Festival "Churashima Air Festa 2023" (Naha Base, December 2023), with the shisa guardian beast on its tail! Exposed arresting hook parts are included.

Alpine Civic (EG6) 1993 Inter TEC

Hasegawa brings us a 1/24-scale model kit of the Alpine Civic (EG6) that took part in the 1993 All Japan Touring Car Championship Round 9 Inter TEC race, as seen on Oct. 30-31 of that year! This was the Concept L Racing Team car no. 32, driven by Takahiko Hara and Masami Kageyama. Lowdown parts are included too.

Hasegawa brings us a special edition 1/72-scale model kit of the Kawasaki T-4 Blue Impulse Acro View! This is a special package featuring the photography work of Eisuke Kurosawa, the exclusive photographer for the Blue Impulse aerobatic team! He began working as a freelance photographer focusing on the aviation world in 1999, and he is responsible for taking photos for the official Blue Impulse pamphlet. 

A postcard and new decals are included.

Decals are included for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Warning Wing 602nd Squadron Flight Warning and Control Unit 40th anniversary marking machine 501 (December 2023), including its shark-teeth markings.
