Fw-189C/V-6, German attack aircraft

Model #72290
Wingspan/Length 255 mm / 53 mm
116 parts
In the spring of 1937, based on the experience of the Spanish Civil War, the German Technical Department developed requirements for an attack aircraft. For the direct support of troops on the battlefield and the breakthrough of deeply echeloned enemy defenses, a twin-engine aircraft with small dimensions, reliable armor protection, and powerful armament was necessary. Projects from four companies were considered on a competitive basis, including Focke-Wulf. Within the competition, specialists from this company converted their Fw 189V-1 with two Argus As 410 engines into a two-seat attack aircraft. The main part of the conversion involved replacing the central gondola with an armored cabin housing the pilot and gunner.
Several variants were produced, and the third aircraft in the experimental series, the Fw 189V-6, became the Fw 189C attack aircraft. It was equipped with more powerful engines, and its armament included 2 MG-FF 20mm cannons and 4 MG17 machine guns, while the defensive armament consisted of MG81 machine guns. The aircraft underwent testing in Rechlin in the fall of 1940, but despite good results, it did not go into production. The primary attack aircraft of the Luftwaffe a bit later became the single-engine Hs 129A.

Leopard 2A6 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
From ICM
1/72nd scale
Model #72820
Length 152 mm
167 parts
Since the summer of 2023,Leopard 2A6 tanks have been in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They actively participate in battles in the east and northeast of Ukraine. Some of them undergo specific modifications due to the nature of modern combat. Recent combat engagements have imposed new requirements, particularly improving protection against shaped charge munitions and attack drones.
To address this, additional protective elements in the form of grids are added to the combat vehicles. Solid screens of various types are also used to protect the running gear. The Leopard 2A6 tanks of the Ukrainian army undergo such modifications, and several of these combat vehicles were seen in action in the fall of 2023.

Studebaker US6-U3 in German Service
From ICM
1/35th scale
Model #35493
Length 183 x width 78 mm
220 parts
The Studebaker US6 heavy cargo truck was developed by the Studebaker Corporation in 1941. The vehicle featured a robust design and excellent payload capacity, with its 6-cylinder Hercules JXD engine producing 94 horsepower, ensuring high off-road capabilities for the Studebaker US6. Approximately 200,000 vehicles of thirteen variations were manufactured in total. The Studebaker US6-U5 version was a versatile fuel tanker equipped with a 750-gallon (2840 liters) tank from Heil. The tank consisted of two tandem-mounted 375-gallon tanks, with racks on the sides for storing 5-gallon fuel cans. Conversion of the vehicles into fuel tankers took place at Heil's factory in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Around 1150 of these converted vehicles were produced. They were supplied to US allies, though some speculations suggest that some fuel tankers may have also been used by units of the US Army.

Feldküche, WWII German Field Kitchen with cooks
From ICM
1/35th scale
Model #35618
149 parts (all new-tooled parts)
For cooking in combat conditions, the Wehrmacht used various types of field kitchens: large ones for personnel ranging from 125 to 225 men, and smaller kitchens for 60-125 men. Captured field kitchens were also used. These kitchens were transported either by trailer behind vehicles or by horse-drawn carriage. Soldiers humorously called these kitchens the ‘Gulaschkanone’, which allowed them to prepare a variety of dishes.
A large kettle with an insulating layer (using glycerin) was used for cooking main dishes. Later models of the kitchens included a separate kettle for frying. Additionally, these kitchens could simultaneously prepare up to 90 liters of coffee. It should be noted that the food ration for Wehrmacht soldiers included a wide variety of products – German soldiers received sausage, cheese, milk, and cocoa. Qualified cooks handled food preparation, assisted by helpers who peeled and chopped vegetables, chopped firewood, fetched water, and performed other tasks

During the interwar period, Montgomery held various positions, and just before World War II, he was appointed commander of the 3rd Division of the British Expeditionary Force in France.
In the autumn of 1942, he became the commander of British forces in North Africa and later achieved victory over the famed "Desert Fox," German Field Marshal Rommel. In December 1943, Montgomery was appointed as the commander of the 21st Army Group and the overall commander of Allied ground forces in Europe, also participating in the planning of Operation Overlord. In the autumn of 1944, he was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. Montgomery, often known as "Monty," was highly regarded for his modesty in personal life and communication with soldiers. They appreciated his modesty in everyday life and communication, and deservedly called "general - Spartan."

Before the assault. Eastern Ukraine 2022
From ICM
1/35th scale
Model #DS3521
Wingspan/Length 255 mm / 53 mm
116 parts
Full-scale combat operations that began in February 2022 posed a severe and serious challenge for the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the outset. During the summer and autumn of 2022, the main focus was on the Eastern operational zone, which became a theater of high-intensity military actions. Alongside maneuver warfare, Ukrainian Defense Forces employed assault tactics aimed at dislodging the enemy from fortified areas and strongpoints. There were also assaults on populated areas, arguably the most challenging aspect of modern warfare.
This large kit combines kit nos #35755 “War has no gender” & #35752 “Quietly came, quietly went…” plus two crew for the Kozak-2 which is also in the box.
The intensity and complexity of these assaults were evidenced by areas changing hands multiple times. To execute assault missions, besides specially trained fighters, a variety of forces and means were utilized—from armored vehicles to FPV drones. According to soldiers' feedback, successful assaults relied on meticulous planning, terrain study, direction of movement, evacuation routes, and anticipation of enemy forces and their firepower intensity.
