The Panzerjägerwagen with Panzer IV turret and long 7.5-cm KwK cannon, were an important innovation of the BP 44 armoured train type. It was the armoured pursuit car replace by the earlier pusher car. That now gave the train an effective means of against Russian tanks. In this instance, a program of new construction had been planned in 1944 by German Army: 8 BP 44 armoured trains.

Israeli Eitan Armoured Personnel Carrier

The Eitan is an Israeli-made 8x8 armoured vehicle personnel carrier that was unveiled on August 2016 by the Israeli Ministry of Defense. The vehicle is designed to replace the old fleet of M113 tracked armoured personnel carriers in service with the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) for many years. The Eitan is being developed by the Ministry of Defense Tank Administration in cooperation with the IDF Ground Forces. The vehicle was developed following of the lessons learned during the Gaza war Operation Protective Edge in 2014. It's a new vehicle based on scratch offering a new configurable multirole platform. The Eitan is a new generation of wheeled combat vehicle which offers high mobility and firepower. According to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the Eitan is one of the world's most advanced and protected wheeled combat vehicle.

The vehicle will be ready for serial production in 2018 with an annual production rate of several dozen systems. In August 2019, Israeli Company Elbit Systems announced that following a competitive bid, the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD) selected Iron Fist Light Decoupled (IFLD), the Company’s Active Protection System (APS), for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Eitan new eight-wheeled Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV). On December 28, 2022, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that the hull of the Eitan will be manufactured by the American company Oshkosh Defense. In an announcement on May 28, 2023, made through a video published by the Israeli Ministry of Defense on Twitter, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Nahal Infantry Brigade took delivery of their first batch of Eitan - the new 8x8 Armoured Personnel Carrier vehicles.
