German Soldiers - Winter 1941-42 (special Edition)
From MiniArt
Kit #35428
Five figures are included.
MiniArt's new kit is a 35th scale set of five chilly soldiers of the mid war winters of '41-'42. There are lots of pictures on the internet like this that show the horrible conditions soldiers faced in winter on both sides, especially on the eastern front. These are an easy point of inspiration for a set like this...
This one is my favourite – it has captured troops warming themselves up – even though this set really probably doesn't depict captured soldiers this is the closest photo I have seen to this set.
The kit:
This special edition set includes the figure sprues from their older and out of print set #35218 "German Soldiers (Winter 1941-42)". This one with the edition of two more sprues of weapons and equipment to mix and match with your soldiers. If all you wanted was the original box, this must be some sort of upgrade for most modellers..

Contents Of The Box – Five small sprues joined together with lots of winter wrapping.

Special Edition additions:
A sprue with equipment is added to this set. More in the style of AFV crew, there are M43 Steel helmets, binoculars & case, entrenching tools in sheath & uncovered. Bead bags, flask, mess tin, gas mas cannister and some bayonets are included in this kit to expand these soldiers and give them some depth.

There are also four Kar.98 bolt action rifles that come in this set to maybe stand up on each other in a pile next to the fire!
You can get these figures soon from MiniArt's Distributors Worldwide.
