HMT Olympic
by Trumpeter
Kit No#03720
1/200th scale
The RMS Olympic, sister ship of the Titanic, had a long and eventful history. Launched in 1910, it was the largest ship in the world at the time. After the Titanic disaster, the Olympic underwent significant modifications to improve safety, including an increase in lifeboat capacity. It served in the First World War and was used as a transport for soldiers. Despite several collisions and incidents, the Olympic survived until its retirement in 1935. Conspiracy theories suggesting that the Titanic was secretly switched with the Olympic before its maiden voyage are unfounded. Maritime historians agree that it would have been impossible, and there is irrefutable evidence that the Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean.

The decals in the box
The Olympic was the first of the three Olympic-Class ocean liners, followed by the Titanic and the Britannic. They were the largest vessels of the White Star Line's fleet and were nearly identical in design. The Olympic survived numerous collisions and even sank a German submarine during World War I.
