In the second part of his review & video build guide, Clayton builds on Part I of his story with the painting & weathering of the RSO/OST Early kit from MiniArt.

Where we got to last time, with the kit built up & in primer and ready for colour...

But first, colours:
Which would you choose from? MiniArt provides four schemes inside the box, of which we feature a few in our preview. Here were the choices in the box.

I was unsure until I saw this photo of the speckled, whitewashed version on the cover art. This photo blew me away with the scene and the scheme.
In today's video, I will take the pre-painted kit in primer and show you how to put down a base coat, how to create this unique mix of spotted and whitewashed camouflage, how to decal and seal, and then follow it with realistic mud and weathering effects using pigments and enamel paints. Each technique is broken down into easy-to-follow steps, allowing you to replicate these effects on your own models with confidence to recreate this RSO that looks like it spent most of its time in the mud and the snow of the eastern front.
Here is the finished creation. I might get around to recreating the whole scene later on, but for now, scroll on below to see the video of how I got this kit here...
Check-out my video build of the kit for even more detail....
Until part III....
